Staring into the darkness, you can’t see the light; fixating on your problems will only leave you constantly troubled; and dwelling on what you lack will forever make you feel deprived and poor. All our struggles don’t stem from what happens or from what others say or do—they arise when we keep clinging to certain things. To truly appreciate is to rejoice in others’ joys and to cheer them on.
