Held an exchange meeting on “Benchmarking the Yiwu Model to Boost E-commerce Development in Muping”

On June 8, 2023, in active response to the arrangements of the inaugural “Pooling Wisdom to Realize Dreams, Gathering Talents to Revitalize Muping” Talent Festival and to enrich the “Smart Innovation for Muping” thematic initiative, the company specially invited Professor Hu Yixiao to host an exchange symposium titled “Benchmarking the Yiwu Model to Boost E‑commerce Development in Muping.” The event was co‑organized by the Muping District Women’s Federation and the Muping Bureau of Commerce, which jointly invited heads of relevant departments—including the Muping Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the E‑commerce Association—as well as executives from 26 enterprises such as Ronghua Group, Jisi Group, Dikang Technology, and Andeli.

At 8:30 a.m., accompanied by the company’s president, Jiang Xuelian, the attendees toured the domestic exhibition hall on the third floor and the international exhibition hall on the fourth floor. Marketing Director Zhang Yunju briefed them on the company’s R&D and design capabilities, its product portfolio, and its cross-border e‑commerce operations. The participants heaped praise on the company’s rapid growth and its cross-border trade operations.

Benchmarking Yiwu to Boost E-commerce

Following the site visit, attendees gathered on the company’s third floor for a roundtable discussion. After President Jiang delivered a welcome address, Jin Zhu, Chairwoman of the District Women’s Federation, provided a brief overview of the event agenda. Subsequently, Professor Hu Yixiao presented an overview of e‑commerce operating models, customer segmentation, and key customer characteristics. Participants then engaged in a lively exchange with the professor, sharing their own challenges and questions regarding e‑commerce operations and collaboratively exploring potential solutions.

After more than an hour of discussion and exchange, the participants gained a deeper understanding of e‑commerce operations and pledged to conduct on-site visits to Yiwu in the future to observe and learn. They intend to leverage e‑commerce‑driven strategies to enhance their companies’ influence, brand strength, and competitiveness.
